TUNISIA: NASCITE IN NETTO CALO NEGLI ULTIMI 30 ANNI
(ANSAmed) - TUNISI, 4 AGO - Calano le nascite in Tunisia. In trent'anni il Paese è passato da una media di 7,5 figli per ogni famiglia a 2,1. Lo rende noto l'Istituto nazionale di statistica, secondo cui i minori di 15 anni erano il 46% della popolazione nel 1996 e nel 2004 erano solo il 27%. Aumenta, di conseguenza, la vecchiaia, con un tasso di ultrasessantenni passato dal 5% nel 1996 al 9,3% nel 2004 e con una previsione di circa il 17% nel 2030. (ANSAmed).

(ANSAmed) - TUNIS, AUGUST 5 - The number of births in Tunisia is falling and over the past thirty years the number of kids per family dropped from 7.5 to 2.1, statistical data shows. Children under 15 years of age accounted for 46% of the population in 1996 and for a mere 27% in 2004. The number of elderly people is growing, those above the age of 60 accounting for 9.3% of the population in 2004 compared to 5% in 1996. Their overall share is expected to reach up to 17% in 2030 Italy.(ANSAmed).
