(ANSAmed) - TUNISI, 1 AGO - Cresce l'afflusso di turisti a Sousse, nel Sud della Tunisia. Secondo le ultime statistiche diffuse dall'Ufficio regionale del Turismo, infatti, nei primi sei mesi di quest'anno gli arrivi a Sousse sono aumentati dell'8,3%, passando dalle 427.039 unità dello stesso periodo dell'anno precedente alle attuali 462.640.
Complessivamente, le notti passate negli alberghi della zona hanno registrato un incremento pari al 7,7%, passando da 2 milioni e 800 mila circa nel primo semestre del 2004 a oltre 3 milioni nel 2005. Sono soprattutto i turisti europei a essere aumentati (+8,3%), ma c'é anche un nuovo mercato: quello giapponese, che ha subito una crescita addirittura del 59%, con 5.800 notti spese nelle strutture alberghiere di Sousse nei primi sei mesi dell'anno contro le 3.600 dello stesso periodo del 2004. (ANSAmed) - TUNIS, AUGUST 1 - Tourists are on the rise in Sousse, in Southern Tunisia. According to latest statistics released by the Tourism Regional office, in the first six months of 2005 arrivals in Sousse have increased to 8.3%, from 427.039 to 462.640 tourists. Overnight stays in the hotels of the area have registered an increase of 7.7% passing from 2 million and 800 arrivals in the first six months to 3 million. European tourists top the list of new arrivals but there is also a new market represented by Japanese (+59%) with 5.900 overnight stays in the hotel facilities of Sousse in the first six months against 3.600 of the same period in 2004.
